PAYROLL

We began offering payroll services in 1996 in response to our clients’ growing frustration with the cost and lack of customer service from their vendors. Sandy Zuverink, manager of the department, has been here from the beginning. Along with her staff of three, Sandy is proud to have nurtured long-term relationships with clients that benefit from the personalized service they provide. BBS now serves over 100 companies and 2500 employees on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis.

Our payroll department handles all the usual functions which any payroll service would offer, such as:

• Direct deposit (up to four deductions per employee)
• Check writing
• Reports
• Bankruptcies
• Garnishees
• Friend of the court
• Trust account (not mandatory)

Our payroll service differs from other services in these added features:

• Trust account for taxes is optional; if you prefer that we process checks from your account for taxes and vendors we will be glad to do so.
• We write all necessary agent checks such as United Way, insurances and garnishes
• 401k payments can be made (including matches and any other deductions) by check or electronic funds transfer
• Customized reports for your individual needs
• Workers compensation reports
• Pension census reports

Further, we have "portal" availability. What is a portal? It is a secure website where all your information is sent. You access this site through our website and your unique password. Documents can be retrieved and saved to your local computer or server.

This portal also allows us to send all your direct deposit information, detailed by employee, to the site, and can be accessed by your employees via individual passwords to view payroll information. The portal saves you time and money, since employee pay stubs are no longer necessary.
